SHOAL exterior at night
Our Story

Built for the
Sound of Waves

The Beginning

A Vision of
Coastal Solitude

SHOAL was conceived as an antidote to the ordinary — a place where the architecture steps back and lets the sea take centre stage. Perched at Turtle Beach on the Arabian Sea, the property sits where the desert meets the ocean in an unlikely, breathtaking union.

The design brief was simple: build nothing that could exist inland. Every window frames the water. Every terrace faces the horizon. Every material — teak, travertine, raw stone — was chosen to age gracefully under salt air and sun.

Dining room with marble surfaces

Teak & Marble

The dining room features a hand-selected marble-top teak table — sourced from a single slab, seating ten with room for ceremony. Above it, a ring chandelier of hand-blown glass.

Raw stone feature wall in lounge

Raw Stone

The double-height lounge is anchored by a raw stone feature wall — quarried locally, left deliberately rough. It absorbs warmth during the day and radiates it through the night.

Suite with teak beam ceiling

Teak Beam Ceilings

Each suite sleeps beneath exposed teak beam ceilings — structural, honest, and beautiful. White linen, stone nightstands, and ocean-side windows complete the sanctuary.
